Vulcan’s Steel U-Channel post is made from High Carbon, Hot rolled steel. Each post is punched with 3/8” diameter holes on 1” centers providing even inch centers for sign mounting. Our u-Channel post comes in three types of finishes.

• Green Painted
• Hot Dip Galvanizing
• Powder Coating

Vulcan's U-Channel posts are perfect for many signpost applications. For smaller signs, our 1.12lb/ft posts are an ideal option. For more permanent signs, greater than 2 square feet but less than 9 square feet, our 2lb/ft and 3lb/ft posts are ideal options.

1.12 lb/ft Steel Post

• Depth: 7/8”
• Optimal bolt: 1.5” length and a ¼” diameter

Recommended Hardware

• 2 each ¼ x 20 x 1.5” Hex Bolt Steel Zinc Plated
• 2 each ¼” Flat Washer Steel Zinc Plated
• 2 each ¼ x 20 Hex Nut Steel Zinc Plated

2 lb/ft Steel Post

• Depth: 1.5”
• Optimal bolt: 2” length and a 5/16” diameter

Recommended Hardware

• 2 each 5/16 x 18 x 2” Hex Bolt Steel Zinc Plated
• 2 each 5/16” Flat Washer Steel Zinc Plated
• 2 each 5/16 x 18 Hex Nut Steel Zinc Plated

Other mounting hardware materials are available, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Brass.

Vandal Resistant Hardware

Our two-piece aluminum rivets offer Vandal resistance due to the low-profile head. These also provide a faster means of assembling on the post using a hand rivet gun.

These rivets come as a set; one male and one female. You will need two sets per sign.
