Mounting Options for Versatility 

Our welded frame markers are adaptable to multiple mounting styles, including: 

• Round Post Mount 
• 4 x 4 Wood Post Mount 
• U-Channel Post Mount 

Each aerial plate is secured to the welded frame with zinc-plated steel hardware. The frame width is adjusted based on the number of aerial plates required, and we offer various mounting adapters to fit existing posts in the field.

Precision-Fabricated Aerial Plates 

Vulcan’s aerial plates are crafted from 0.050” full-hard aluminum, laser-fabricated for precision. These plates are printed with our outdoor-durable ink system, providing maximum longevity and visibility in outdoor conditions. Our standard aerial plate measures 12” wide by 16” tall, featuring 14” tall characters for optimal readability. 

Built to Industry Standards 

Our Welded Frame Aerial Markers have been the industry standard for years, known for their durability and accuracy. Frames are made from carefully cut aluminum angles, MIG welded using specialized jigs and fixtures for perfect alignment, hole placement, and structural integrity. For extra stability, the top angle is crafted from 1.5” x 1.5” architectural aluminum alloy 6061-T6, providing ample space for aerial plate attachment. 

Customizable Frame Sizing 

The width of each frame is determined by the number of plates it holds and the specific plate size. For example, a two-digit frame with standard 12” x 16” plates will measure 24” wide, offering clear and visible signage for aerial patrol.

High-Durability Aerial Plates 

The industry-standard 12” x 16” aerial plate is made from 0.050” thick 5052-H38 aluminum. Each plate features rounded corners for safety and comes pre-drilled with mounting holes compatible with both bent and frame-style aerial markers. Plates are printed with inks, specially formulated for exceptional outdoor durability. When ordered with the frame, each aerial plate includes Phillips round-head screws and lock nuts, which secure the plates against vibrations in outdoor conditions. 

Adaptable Mounting Configurations 

The versatility of the Welded Frame Aerial Marker extends to multiple mounting configurations, allowing for custom manufacturing based on the specific post type and diameter. While round posts are the most common, Vulcan can customize frames to suit various mounting requirements, ensuring stability and easy installation in any environment.
