Vulcan’s Bent Style Aerial Markers are designed to solve common issues faced when handling and installing traditional frame-style aerial markers. Unlike welded frames, which require substantial space for shipping, storage, and transport, our Bent Style Markers have an open-top and bottom design that saves space and minimizes the accumulation of insect nests. Most importantly, the Bent Style frame provides enhanced strength by positioning aerial plates in the center, rather than at the edge, to evenly distribute forces and improve durability.

High-Quality Aluminum Construction for Long-Lasting Performance

The core component of Vulcan’s Bent Style Aerial Marker is a precision-engineered internal aluminum plate, laser-fabricated and CNC-formed with 45-degree bends on each side. Constructed from 0.100” thick 5052-H38 aluminum, this material offers excellent corrosion resistance and strength, with the H38 grade ensuring a high level of hardness. The 45-degree bends come pre-punched with mounting holes that align perfectly with Vulcan’s aerial plates, allowing for fast and reliable assembly.

Efficient and Secure Assembly

Our Bent Style Aerial Markers can be assembled with durable aluminum blind rivets for quick and secure installation. For applications that require additional durability in high-vibration environments, Vulcan also supplies Phillips round-head screws and lock nuts, which provide additional stability. The frame width can be customized based on the number and size of aerial plates, with a two-digit frame using standard 12” x 16” plates measuring 24” wide.

Standard and Customizable Aerial Plates

Vulcan’s industry-standard aerial plates measure 12” wide by 16” tall and feature a 14” tall character for high visibility. Fabricated from 0.050” thick 5052-H38 aluminum with rounded corners for safety, these plates are printed with inks, specially formulated for maximum durability in outdoor environments. Each plate comes with pre-drilled mounting holes for easy attachment to both bent and frame-style aerial markers.

Versatile Mounting Options

The Bent Style Aerial Marker is designed to integrate seamlessly with our aerial marker posts, which feature a galvanized 10’ x 2 3/8” steel post with a welded steel plate for easy attachment. Each bent frame includes four centrally located 3/8” holes for secure mounting. Additionally, Vulcan offers a variety of mounting adapters to accommodate different post styles and existing installations, making it easy to deploy our markers in the field.
